Show 1 Davis Boys Injured In-jured In Accident Keith Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Davis, and Mack Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. I. M. Davis, suffered suf-fered injuries in an automobile accident ac-cident on the Vineyard road, Monday Mon-day night shortly after 8 o'clock p. m. i Keith Davis suffered a severe cut on the side of his face and around the ear and suffered greatly from the loss of blood. Mack Davis suffered suf-fered a severe bump on his head and extreme nervous shock. j The boys were on their way to i Provo to attend the Lehi-Provo basketball game when the acident I occurred. They were lata and to save time they turned down the Genvea road at Pleasant Grove, instead in-stead of following the highway. They were not familiar with the road and when they came to the "S" curve, just in front of the Vineyard Vine-yard church house, they made the first turn but did not know there was another one. When they came to the second curve they did not see it until it was too late to make the turn and the car ran directly into a telephone pole at the side of the road. The car cut the pole completely com-pletely off and turned completely over two or three times. Mr. Crane of Provo was driving along the road and witnessed the accident. He quickly removed the boys from the wreckage of the truck and immediately rushed them to Dr. Linebaugh's office in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. They were given treatment by Dr. Linebaugh and later removed to the American Fork hospital. They were removed to their homes Tuesday and seem to be getting along as well as can be expected. The car in which they were riding rid-ing was a new Ford truck, belonging belong-ing to Keith's father, A. V. Dais. The entire front end of the truck was badly smashed. The same evening as William Beal was returning home after the ball game his car hit loose gravel and overturned. He received small cuts and bruises about the head and face. His car received bent fenders and broken windshield. |
