Show Accidents Injure Six Persons During Week Lewis Larson of Manti received a sprained left shoulder and bad body bruises and cuts Friday morning when he attempted to cross the highway east of town. He had driven his car into the Ampco Service Ser-vice station to be serviced and had started to walk across the highway to the Owl Inn when a north-bound car, driven by Ferron Sager, struck him. He was knocked down to the pavement. Mr. Sager picked him up and braught him into town where he was given medical treatment. Mr. Larson's family arrived from Manti and he was able to continue his journey that afternoon, Albert Jacklin of American Fork and Fred Roberts also received bad body bruises and cuts in an accident acci-dent Sunday. Their car failed to negociate the turn going into Alpine Al-pine City about 2 a. m. The car struck a ditch and turned over end-for-end twice. Ralph Chipman, 6, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Chipman, received a bad scalp wound and cuts and bruises about the body when a horse he and his cousin, Clarence C. Randall, Ran-dall, 15, were riding became frightened fright-ened and backed into an oncoming Denver & Rio Grande Western freight train Sunday afternoon. The impact three both of the boys off and killed the horse. Ralph was taken to the hospital and x-ray pictures taken. No bones were broken. Randall escaped with only bad bruises. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs, C. C. Randall of Logan. Mrs. Randall was formerly Irene Chipman. Mrs. Ray Ellison received a broken brok-en left ankle and a sprained right ankle when she tripped over a hose and fell off the porch of her home here Thursday evening. |
