Show u James P. King Found Dead James P. King, 71, was found dead here Wednesday evening at the home of his brother, Arthur King. Circumstances surrounding the death were investigated by Ruben Christensen and Don Terry, county deputy sheriff and attorney. Mr. King, who has been in ill health for several months, arrived here from his home in Sacramento, California, Monday, for a visit with his relatives. The body was found by his brother when he returned home from work in a small closet near the rear of the house. Death had been caused by a .22 rifle bullet. He was the son of R. E. and Jane Purdie King, born in American Fork October 2, 1866. He is survived by two sons, Leo, of Sacramento, and Wajne, of Idaho; two brothers, Robert E. King of Oakland, California, and Arthur King of American Fork; a sister, Melissa K. Shelley and the following half brothers and sisters, Mrs. Fannie Fan-nie L. Payne, Lillian K. Erown and Laura Dunkley of American Fork; Maud Goodwin, Lehl; Guy King, Mae Kirk and Eva M. Cotton, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be held in the First ward chapel Sunday at 2 p.m. |
