Show Storms Pile Snow In Mountains The recent heavy storms added greatly to the snow accumulation in American Pork canyon and insures in-sures a good supply of irrigation water if the remainder of the year gives us anywhere near a normal supply. Reports yesterday from the Yankee Yan-kee mine gave the snow depth from 4 to 8 feet on the level. In shaded portions of the canyon and mountain moun-tain slopes it is said there is fully 8 feet of snow on the level. In exposed ex-posed sections, where the sun has had continued access to the snow, this depth has been reduced to 4 feet. The official rainfall records at the Jordan river gives the total rainfall in the valley for the month of February, practically all of which came in the last ten days, at 1.59 inches. This brings the total for the winter season above last year but slightly short of the normal fall. |
