Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Fugal of Nephi spent the week-end with relatives rela-tives here. Mr. C. E. Allred and Sheldon All-red All-red of Spring City, visited with relatives rela-tives here Saturday and Sunday. Miss Gennieve Bluth a student of the "Y" at Provo, was the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Hilda Farr, Saturday. Satur-day. Mrs. Owen Allen and Mrs. Suel Zimmerman of Lehi, visited with a number of Manila relative Tuesday afternoon. The Sunday School officers of the Manila ward will be sponsors for a dancing party at the ward Amusement Amuse-ment Hall Thursday evening, March 1. Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Weeks announce an-nounce the birth of a grandson. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Gee of Provo are the happy parents. Mrs. Gee formerly form-erly was Noma Weeks of this city. Mrs. Vida Conway joined a group of Utah county 4-H club workers Sunday and motored to Logan, where she will attend a week's school for 4-H club workers, under the direction di-rection of the U. S. A. C. Extension Service. Mrs. C. E. Allred and daughter Buelah of Spring City, have been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith the past week. Miss Buelah is convalescing from an operation which she underwent at a Provo' hospital recently. j The Lindon ward will hold a ward banquet in the Lindon Hall Friday evening. A picture show sponsored by the Challenge Butter Co., will be given after the banquet. All ward organizations are assisting in the preparation of the banquet. The proceeds will go for a ward building ; Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Hobson of Salt Lake were guests Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Theobald. Wright family held a social and family fam-ily reunion for the purpose of forming form-ing a family organization for genealogical gene-alogical purposes. Mary Foutz Corrigan of Salt Lake is convalscing at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foutz, following an operation two weeks1 ago for appendicitis. Bishop Thorne was one of the speakers and Mrs. May R. Walker Walk-er gave a solo, as a part of the services. Vard Johnson left Monday with a group of four men, employed by the government, for Eureka where they will make an economic survey of the district to determine the influence the mining industry has had upon the residents of that city. Nelson and Mrs. Glen Wadley entertained at a birthday dinner Saturday evening in honor of their father, Eugene Allred. Relatives Rela-tives of the family were guests. .A number of relatives from Sanpete county were present. Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Harvey were in Salt Lake Tuesday to bid farewell to Dr. and Mrs. Dean A. Harvey who left this week for a tour of Europe, previous to attending summer school in Paris, for which he recently received re-ceived a scholarship. Dr. George Hanson of the B. Y. U. will be the principal speaker at the First ward M. I. A. conjoint meeting Sunday evening, March 4. The evening was spent in miscellaneous miscel-laneous games and other entertaining entertain-ing features. Delicious refreshments were served to about fifty ladies. Miss Ludwigson has been prominent in church and social affairs of the Manila ward. She served as gleaner leader of the M. I. A. and has been an active leader of 4-H club work. She is a graduate of the B. Y. U. and will wed Walter Hall of Salt Lake City, Thursday, March 1. They will make their home in Salt Lake. Mrs. David B. Thorne attended the funeral of Mrs. Elmo Richards at Mt. Pleasant Monday. Mrs. Richards Rich-ards formerly lived in this city, she leaves her husband and two small children. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Adams will give a wedding reception next Saturday Satur-day evening at their home in honor of their daughter Ohpha, and H. Pierce Bringhurst, who will be married mar-ried Friday, February 3, in the Salt Lake temple. About 30 guests have been invited to attend the wedding reception. |
