Show j Ten Years Ago j ' Now j (Taken from files of March 1, 1924) An enthusiastic meeting of the residents of Lindon First ward was held Thursday night for the purpose of discussing the proposition of buying the Dry Canyon water better known as the Rogers place. A committee com-mittee was appointed to petition the county commissioners for a townsite with a view of procuring an approved water works system. Ten Years Ago Now Wednesday morning Mrs. Luella B. Christiansen, wife of Albert Christiansen, suffered very serious burns when a can of kerosene exploded ex-ploded as she was building the kitchen fire. Her clothing was ignited and she was a mass of flames. Her husband and eighteen year old son helped to smother the flames with bedding. She was rushed rush-ed to the American Fork hospital. Ten Years Ago Now American Fork's brand new fire engine and equipment was shown in Pleasant Grave as a part of the celebration of the arrival of the new machine. Ten Years Ago Now Students of the Pleasant Grove high school assisted by Carl Chris-tensen Chris-tensen and Rolfe Pratt of the B. Y. U., will present "The Bohemian Girl," the most elaborate musical entertainment attempted in this community, March 6 to 7. Prof. Overlade is directing the singing and Miss Lyle Lindsay the dramatic drama-tic part of the production. |
