Show leasant Grove Council Authorizes New Survey WORK TO BE FINISHED BY DEC. 31, 1939; BIDS ASKED ' A complete survey of Pleasant Grove City, to establish a correct and definite basis for property transfers and future alignment of new streets, was authorized Saturday Satur-day night by the city council. According to provisions of the advertisement for bids, the work must be completed by December 31,. 1939. The sealed proposals from legally qualified surveyor and engineer engi-neer will be received until 5 p. m. on July 1, by the city recorder. The specifications call for the preparation pre-paration of an official plat for the county recorder's office, and a map on linen for the city, in addition to . the survey. Provisions for the survey include: Survey of all city blocks and streets. Monuments are to be placed plac-ed in the center of every intersection, intersec-tion, and all city blocks must be tied to the monument at strppt-. lntjrto Hons. Where there is an excess or deficiency of land in the block, a redistribution is to be made, in proportion to holdings, if the parties wish. Subdivision of all undivided blocks not in the early survey. These blocks are to be of a standard 20 by 20 rod size, unless other factors make another size more feasible. Markers are to be placed on the Battle creek and Grove creek roads to indicate future streets. Description of land in blocks for new deeds if required. Establish city corners on boundary-lines, boundary-lines, and tie in with the government govern-ment survey. Survey elevation of- monuments, and tie in with the 1922 geological survey. Prepare the official plat for the recorder's office and scale map for the city. The survey in use by the city for many years was made originally in. Territorial days. Much difficulty has been encountered in property-transfers, property-transfers, because of errors in the survey. The new survey will be a basis for future data, as well as a plan for future streets and blocks. |
