Show Three Local Boys Attend National Jamboree Jimmie and Max Macfarlane, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Macfarlane, and Kay Jacobs, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Jacobs, of this city, left Monday Mon-day to attend the National Scout Jamboree at Washington, D. C. All boys from this district who left met at Provo Monday at 1:30 p. m. j and pitched their tents and had I their outfits inspected and received assignments, after which they pack-ed pack-ed their equipment and marched to , the depot. Here they entrained at 5:00 p. m. Jimmie was appointed patrol leader lead-er over one of the groups. They will visit Denver, Chicago, Niagara Falls and New York. They expect to spend Sunday at Palmyra, New York, where services will be held. They will be encamped at Washington from June 30 to July 9 for their National Activities. They return home by way of St. Louis, Kansas City and Pueblo. There were 120 boys from Utah scout organizations in the party and it affords those fortunate enough to go an unusual opportunity. |
