Show Am. Fork Locals Mrs. Amos Rockwood left for her home In Iona, Idaho, after a few days visit with her mother, Mrs. Emma C. Smith. Mrs. S. T. Baker spent the past week-end in Preston, Idaho, visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jean Moser. Mrs. Eugene S. Crosby and daughter, daugh-ter, Bing, of Salt Lake City were week-end guests at the home of Mrs. John Beck. Miss Mary Jane Jacklin was surprised sur-prised on her birthday Wednesday evening when a number of friends called for her and proceeded to the Jacklin farm for a weenie roast. Mrs. Sarah Earl Osterloh left J Monday for Elko, Nevada, to make her home. Mr. Osterloh has been in Elko for the past month, where he is agent for the Inter-State Motor Line. Miss Betha Storrs is improving nicely at the L. D. S. hospital where she underwent a major operation last Saturday. The doctors feel the trouble has been corrected and Miss Storrs will have complete recovery. Miss Mary Pulley left this week for Los Angeles for an indefinite stay with her uncle, Henry Martin, and family. Miss Pulley has been living at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Brown in the First ward. Miss Joyce Houston was hostess to 21 of her girl friends at a daintily arranged birthday party Tuesday afternoon. Miss Houston's cousin, Miss Beverly Hutching, of Salt Lake is visiting with her and was a special guest at the party. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Baker and son, Bob, returned home Sunday from a trip to Yellowstone Park. They say the park is especially beautiful at this time because of the daily rainstorms rain-storms which keep the vegetation at its best. The members of the Fourth ward Relief Society enjoyed a program and social .Tuesday afternoon at the ward chapel. There were sixty members present. Mrs. Joseph Dunk-ley Dunk-ley of the stake board was also in attendance. Mrs. Clyde Birk entertained 44 little friends of her daughter, Beverly, Bev-erly, on her 7th birthday Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon. The time was spent playing children's games after which refreshments were served. Each guest wag represented with an individual birthday cake, Mrs, John Beck was hostess to a number of ladies at a dinner and j theatre party Tuesday evening. The i guests were, Mrs. C. L. Joy, Mrs. James White, Mrs. Emma Kesler, Mrs. Margaret Andrews, Mrs. Leah Green and Mrs. Emma Foster. Missj Elizabeth Green assisted in serving , the dinner. j , j Miss LUie Shafter was hostess to' the members of the Variety club at three tables of bridge at the home of Mrs. Adair Bromley Wednesday -afternoon. Mr?. Ann Brown won ' the club prize and Mrs. Eflith Brown j the guest prize. The special guests: were Mrs. Mary Humphries, Mrs, ; Berniece Adams and Mrs. Edith; Brown. !'. ' |
