Show Stake Day at Saratoga Next Wednesday Timpanogos stake ' members will form a caravan led by the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove band next Wednesday. August 26 at 1:15 p. m. and motor to Saratoga Springs -with banners flying and music en route. There will be baskets of picnic and scores of prizes present to give pep to the Annual Stake Day. There will be Softball games, bathing with a coin shower in the pool, races, novelty games and a fine program. Special buses will be on hand at 1 o'clock for those who have not a way to go. Ten cents for the return trip will be charged. The caravan will leave promptly, so all who are going be on Main street promptly at 1:15 p. m. A $5 prize will be given to the I ward who has the largest number on the grounds at 3 p. m., and a $5 prize will be given to the ward having hav-ing the highest percent of ward ! members present. There will be prizes given for the most generations genera-tions of descendants of any family present ; for the most recently married mar-ried couple, for the oldest man and woman; for the youngest child; for t the heaviest man and woman and other prizes. The following committees will take care of the clay's fun: General i committee Representatives of stake I presidency, city council and chamber cham-ber of commerce; advertising Stake presidency; Program H. P. Jones' and members of M. I. A. stake su- perintendency ; Sports Lee Peterson, Peter-son, Vern Cullimore and Joseph Walker; Prize committee Erving Johnson, J. C. Kindred and Lewis Olpin. A good old fashioned day and stake get-together is fully planned. |
