Show Alpine News One hundred and thirty relatives and friends of Mr. D. J. Hamnett gathered at the Alpine ward chapel Friday to honor him on his 80th birthday. The guests were seated at one long table, which was covered cov-ered with a lace cloth and had for a centerpiece a beautiful birthday cake. After lunch, all retired to the amusement hall where a short program pro-gram was rendered as follows: Song, Mrs. Jane Beck and Mrs. Esther Forbes, sisters of Mr. Hamnett; tap dance, Joyce Hamnett and Rhea Beck; vocal solo, Alice Vance; step , dance, Mr. D. J. Hamnett, accom- i panied by Mr. Arthur Forbes on the i j.. ivjuiiaj-a wiiKinand daughter of Magna; remarks, Bishop E. W. Burgess. After the program the remainder of the evening was spent in dancing, danc-ing, Forbes' orchestra furnishing the present report a very enjoyable enjoy-able time.
