Show Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Mary J. Walker Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Walker, wife of Martin B. Walker, were held Sunday at 2:00 p. m. in the Windsor ward chapel. The many friends and relatives of the deceased filled the chapel to capacity. ca-pacity. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Bishop's Counselor Elwood Baxter officiated at the services, which opened with the Windsor ward choir singing, "Oh My Father." Prayer was offered by Eldon Swenson. Swen-son. The Singing Mothers then sang, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Speakers who spoke of the pleasant pleas-ant disposition of Mrs. Walker, her strong faith, and of her wonderful devotion to her husband, home, family fam-ily and religion, and who offered words of consolement to the bereaved be-reaved family, were James Blain and J. H. Blain, close friends of Mrs. Walker, A. H. Lowe, former Windsor Wind-sor ward bishop and Bishop Stanley B. Harris. Other musical numbers consisted of a vocal solo, "That's What Mothers Are For" by Taylor Allen; a vocal duet, "Jesus, My Savior" by Dr. and Mrs. Wiseman of Provo, and the closing number, "Sometime We'll Understand" by the choir. President Wilford W- Warnick pronounced the benediction. |
