Mrs. Frank Richins, who underwent under-went a serious operation at the Lehi hospital, v.-as removed to her home the first of the week. Dr. George Meddleton of Salt Lake, gave an illustrated lecture on the Book of. Mormon at the Windsor ward Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Lamont Carol of Midway, Mid-way, are visiting this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs .Isaac Harris. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Waid and baby of Provo were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Clark on Monday. Roy Fugal gave his B. Y. U. play at Magna, Saturday, and at L-ehi, Thursday. Marshal A. R. Winters made a business trip to Provo Tuesday. -4 Mrs. A. B. Harris entertained at a birthday dinner Friday in honor of her mother, Mrs. Sarah M. Hooley. Thr, afternoon was spent in quilting. Besides the guest of honor, Mrs. Bloomquist and Mrs. Thelma Bloom-quist Bloom-quist of American Fork were present. The Beehive Girls of the Manila awrd met Thursday afternoon at the home of their Beekeeper, Mrs. Merrill Warnick. They spent their time making plans for their closing work in practicing their play after -which dainty refreshments were served. Mrs. Kate Ash entertained the new officers of the Daughters of the Pioneers, Pio-neers, Lindon Camp, at her home Friday Fri-day afternoon. Miss Clara Blackhurst, who is teaching school at Fairfield, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Blackhurst. John Halliday has been given a place in the National Band and Orchestra Or-chestra school at Interlochen, Mich. ' ' The Warnick family held a reunion Saturday evening at the home of Pres. W. W. Warnick in celebration of the ninth birthday in the family which occurred during the month of April. A number of sportsmen of oar city have enjoyed the spring time fishing j in the Provo river. One fisherman re-j ported being able to catch all he desired de-sired in an hours fishing. Culmer has purchased purchas-ed the Lunch Counter owned by Jack Robinson in American Fcrk and has moved her family there. Mrs. Culmer is a splendid cook and with her pleasing pleas-ing personality ought to do well in that field of business. Randall Musgrove, who has spent the winter at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Walker and attended the local high school here, left Tuesday Tues-day for his home in Canada. Randall has been a popular student and won many friends among teachers and students. j The "Family Upstairs", presented hy the Third Ward M. I. A. April 12 by her daughters and d.iughters-in-law who gathered at her home and spent the afternoon in honor of her t"0th birthday. Social chat and sewing were the diversions. Late in the afternoon after-noon a delicious luncheon was served to the following: Mrs. J. II. Adams, Mrs. Eliza Banks, Mrs. Charles Rob-bins, Rob-bins, Mrs. Ruel Adams, Miss Evelyn Adams, Mrs. J. O.
