Show Funeral Services Held For Mary Origgs Hobison She was not seeking for worldly renown, But ever to gain a heavenly crown. She knew the way to the heavenly gate, And what would be her own final fate. Her life was ever open as a scroll. And God above has received her soul. B. W. Driggs. Funeral services were held in the Timpanogos Stake Tabernacle Sunday Sun-day at 12 ni. for Mary D. Robison, who passed away at her home Thursday Thurs-day morning, April 11. Counselor H. W. Jacobs was in charge of the services. ser-vices. A vocal solo, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" by May R. Walker, Walk-er, accompanied by Mrs. R. E. Moffett, was the opening selection. Invocation Invoca-tion was by Ezra Walker. A vocal duet, "0 It Is Wonderful" by Eugene Nelson and Viola Thome, accompanied accompani-ed by Miss Newman, was next rendered. render-ed. Patriarch S. L. Swenson a life long friend o the family was the first speaker. He told of incidents o early pioneer life o the Driggs and Robison Robi-son families. President W. W. Warnick was the next speaker. He conveyed many consoling remarks to the bereaved family. A violfsi solo, "A Perfect Day" by R. E. Moffett, accompanied by Mrs. Moffett, was next given, after which A. L. Cullimore, ex-bishop of the Lin-don Lin-don ward spoke. He stated that he had labored with Mrs. Robison on the Old Folks committee and had always found her willing to do more than her share. Bishop C. A. Gamett spoke of her work in the ward Relief Society and eulogized the family for their devotion devo-tion to their mother during her last illness. i "One Fleeting Hour" wTas next sung by May R. Walker, accompanied by Mrs. C. A. Gamett. Closing remarks ' were made by Counselor H. W. Jacobs after which Alvira S. Olpin pronounced pronounc-ed the benediction. Interment was in the Pleasant Grove cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by J. W. Gillman. The tabernacle was well filled with relatives and friends, some of whom came from all over the state. The floral tributes completely covered the rostrum and casket. She lived at the time of Indian strife, And suffered sorrow throughout her life. For the radient truths she ever strove Throughout her long life in Pleasant Grove. She e'er aided in every worthy cause, And was obedient to God's holy laws; Ever a good neighbor in every deed, Helping others in their direst need. Always a devoted mother and friend Throughout her life to her journey's end. |
