Show Initiative Amendment No. 7 DENTAL ADVERTISING LAW PROPOSED TO BE ENACTED BY INITIATIVE Beinff an act to amend Section 79-6-8, Revised Re-vised Statutes of Utah, 1933, as amended by Chapter 78, Laws of Utah. 1935. (Making it legal for Dentists to Advertise.) Adver-tise.) That Section 79-G-S, Revised Statutes of Utah, 1933, as amended by Chapter 7S Laws of Utah, 1935. be amended to read as follows : 79-6-8. The words "unprofessional conduct" con-duct" as relating to dentists are hereby defined to include. 1. Obtaining any fee by fraud or misrepresentation. mis-representation. 2. Employing directly or indirectly any student cr unlicensed dentists, or one whose license has been revoked or suspended to perform operations of any kind or to treat lesions of the human teeth, gums or jaws, or take impressions of the teeth or jaws, or to correct or attempt to correct malpositions mal-positions thereof, except as herem provided. pro-vided. 3. Employing what are known as cap-Ders. cap-Ders. steerera or touters to obtain business. improper conduct, or conviction of a felony. fel-ony. 12. Violating or aiding others in violating violat-ing any of the provisions of the dental practice act. 13. Retiming the Department of Registration Regis-tration or the State Board of Health, their officers or employes, access to his office, instruments, laboratory, equipment, appliances ap-pliances or supplies for the purpose of inspecting in-specting the same. 14. Keeping his office, instruments, laboratory lab-oratory equipment, appliances or supplies in an insanitary condition. 15. Nothing heroin contained shall be construed so as to prevent a duly licensed dentist in the State of Utah from advertising advertis-ing his profession, except the quotation of definite fixed prices, by the use of newspapers, news-papers, periodicals, signs, cards, radio and other lawful means of advertising, provided, provid-ed, that all of such advertising shall be in the name of the licensed dentist who may specifically refer in. such advertising to hii traiinn, methed andor syslcm.t SECTION 2. This act shall take effect five days after the date of the official proclamation proc-lamation by the Governor. 4. Communicating, without the consent of the patient, information acquired in treating a patient necessary to enable him I to act for such a patient. i 5. Advertising his dental business or I treatment or devices by untruthful, im-1 probable or impossible statements. 6. Making any misrepresentations or false promises directly or indirectly to in- fluence, persuade or induce dental patron- ! age. ! 7. SharinE professional fees with an unlicensed un-licensed person or paying any person for ending or referring patients. 8. Practicing while hia license is suspended. sus-pended. 9. Using intoxicants or drugs to such an extent as to render him unfit to practice dent iB try. 10 Maltreating his patients by reason mt eross ignorance, wilfulness or neglect. U.
