Peay was in Provo Monday to visit with her sister, Mrs. Parley Olson, who Is convalescing convales-cing in the Provo hospital after an Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Farr motored mot-ored to Tooele Sunday to visit with Mrs. Parr's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Walker. Mrs. Kate Frampton was in Provo last Sunday to witness the marriage ceremony of her grandson, EWon Crookston, and Miss Berry. Mrs. Annie Sorenson is seriously ill at the Holy Cross hospital in Salt Lake City. On Wednesday Mrs. Fred Foutz and John Warnick went to Salt Lake City to visit their sister. sis-ter. Mr. and Mrs. George L. Smith and son, Harvey, and Miss Josephine FaiT motored to Pocatello, Idaho, last Friday. Harvey remained there to continue his work at the Pharmacy Phar-macy school. Mr. and Mrs. Smith i and Miss Farr returned home the operation for appendicitis. Mr. and Mrs. V. N. West are proud grandparents of a fine granddaughter, grand-daughter, born Tuesday morning at Provo. The parents are Mr. and Mrs. Bert Frampton of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Ash have moved into the home of Mrs. Mary R. Halliday, who will live in Provo the coining winter with her son, John R. HaJliday, and family. Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Houston of Rexburg, Idaho, are visiting with Mrs. Leah Green and family. Mrs. Houston was formerly Mrs. Bunnell, mother of Mrs. Green. Dr. John Z. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Downs were guests of honor at a wedding reception re-ception given in their honor last Saturday at the Sharon ward amusement hall by their parents. A very beautiful informal wedding party was enjoyed, including a program, pro-gram, dancing and a dainty lunch. Two hundred guests were present. Mr. and Mrs. Downs will leave the latter part of the week for Logan, where Mr. Downs will attend the IT. S. A. C. the coming winter. The officers and teachers of the Third ward Sunday School entertained, enter-tained, last Friday at the Timpan-ogos Timpan-ogos Cave camp in honor of C. O. Newman, then- former superintend- j ant, who recently resigned alter seven years of service. The evening was spent in a program, pro-gram, games, camp fire stories, a weinie and marshmallow roast. The guest of honor was presented with a gift. Mrs. Sadie Stoker, a sister of Mrs. Hayes and Dr. Brown. They returned re-turned home Monday. The family of James C. Peterson entertained at a birthday party in honor of his 74th birthday last Sunday Sun-day at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Robertson. A hot birthday dinner was served and the afternoon was spent in visiting and social chat. Members of the family and friends were present. Mr. and Mrs. Lester G. West returned re-turned home last week from a two week's trip to Denver, Colorado, where they visited with their son, Leo and wife, who returned home ' with them via Southern Utah beauty beau-ty spots. Mr. and Mrs. Leo West 1 returned to Denver last Tuesday. Cards are out announcing the wedding wed-ding reception of Cecil Bullock of ' this city and Hazel Johnson cf American Fork, which is being held in the second ward cnapei tonignt. Miss Johnson is a daughter of the late Bishop Charles G. Johnson of the Windsor ward. More than 200 invitations have been issued. The "Old Gang" of the Manila ward held a jolly .orchard party at the home of President and Mrs. W. W. Warnick Monday evening. Around the bon fire and supplied with colored col-ored lights, the group enjoyed stories, stor-ies, and games. Miss Lorraine Swenson Swen-son was "ring leader" of the gang. Those present were the guests of honor, Elva Eves Hodge, and Anne Monson Thayne of California, also Lucy and Alex Wadley, Helen and Maurine Monson, Charles, George and'Berniece Warnick, Helen Warnick, War-nick, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Pack, Marvin Mar-vin Radmall, Mr.' and Mrs. Ray Pulley, Pul-ley, Kenneth.
