Show First Carload of Cauliflower Cauli-flower Shipped Tuesday The first carload of cauliflower to be loaded from this district this season sea-son was shipped out of American Fork Tuesday, September 24. It was loa'ded cooperatively by the different growers of the district, and was made up of about 40 per cent TJ. S. No. 1 graded cauliflower. After this first cutting, according to Leonard S. Fenn, U. S. Superintendent of shipping point inspection, the grading will run nearly near-ly 80 per cent first grade, as the growers the past few weeks have done much to make the cauliflower of this district some of the best to be raised in a number of years. Growers estimate that nearly 30 carloads will he shipped from here this year to points in the middlewest, central states and Texas. Many of the cars to be shipped later will be loaded entirely from one patch, several seve-ral growers having heavy enough crops to ship Individually. : o |
