There were three classes of community com-munity exhibits based on population. Competing with our city was Lehi, Pleasant Grove, Springville, Spanish Fork and Payson. Lehi was awarded award-ed second position. In the other classes Orem won first in one division divi-sion arid Manila in another. Provo City was in a class by herself and was made conspicuous by the absence of a community exhibit Pleasant Grove's flower display was real distinctive. dis-tinctive. Some very fine individual exhibits were on display and these varied from farm produce to collections of foreign goods. The Boy Scout handicraft hand-icraft work, the domestic art work and the paintings all added to the interest arid educational features of the fair. The poultry and live stock divisions were great features and 'tells a story of the growth and im. provement of our county live stock which cannot be gotten over in any other way. Manager C. L. Warnick, who has been largely responsible for the great success of this year's fair was quite pleased with the general response re-sponse of the various communities and individuals and especially with the attendance. He said upwards of 8,000 attended on Thursday, which was school day. Some 3,000 students entered the gates that day. Jforel Display From Am. Fork The American Fork 'display was novel in design and attracted considerable con-siderable attention. A circular wheel, some seven feet in diameter, was cleverly filled with all kinds of farm produce raised in this district. A complete circle of snow-white eggs was arranged around this wheel. This display was kept revolving continuously con-tinuously and from it's center extended ex-tended colored ribbons which connect ed with each state in the union on an illuminated map of the Unwed states which formed the back of the display. dis-play. At the top of this map were the words, "American Fork Distributes Distri-butes To the Nation." Banking the edges of the display were beautiful fall flowers set in the silver loving cups which our baseball teams and athlets have won. Filling the space between the wheel and the edges of the booth were dis. plays representing the wool industry, indus-try, mining, Mutual Creamery products pro-ducts and honey and bees, fruits and fall vegetables. The committees in charge of this display are to be commended for their splendid idea and work. An individual honey and bee display, dis-play, by E. B. Hawkins and J. W. Johnston, was very good and received receiv-ed considerable attention. The fruit and flower display of the American Fork Nursery also was an out-standing feature of the fair display. Some exceptionally fine peaches, pears and apples were In this display. Another feature was the Utah Poultry Asportation display of eggs, poultry and feeds. A large sign at the hack of this display told what eggs, feeds and poultry had been shipped by the association this year- The F. F. A. (Future Farmers of America) of the American Fork high school were also represented. Their Crop Judging team took second place and the Stock team, fifth.
