Show Flower Show Is Huge Success The Flower Show, held August 27. and sponsored by the Alpine Stake Relief Society, proved a grand success. suc-cess. At 2:30 p. m. the hundreds of flowers were beautifully arranged to be viewed by the many who oame to see and who left with words of praise for the wonderful display. Musical numbers were beautifully rendered in the afternoon by Lourina and Ann Clayson, and in the evening by Nina and Naomi Halliday, LaRee Chipman, Leland Priday, Lenore Crookston and Mary Humphries. La-vina La-vina Fugal and M. 0. Lott acted as judges and gave awards according to beauty and arrangement. Our florists, flor-ists, Rohbock and Sons, Humphries' Floral, and J. H. Wright, added beauty to the scene with (displays and personal per-sonal assistance. Wendell Noyes took honors for individual in-dividual display and artistic arrangement. arrange-ment. Warren B. Smith, John Hunter, Hunt-er, Thomas A. Barratt, Martin Hanson, Han-son, C- A. Pierson and many others exhibited remarkable individual Idis-plays Idis-plays artistically arranged. Besides ferns and other green fol-age fol-age 349 containers were on exhibit. The committees under the leadership leader-ship of Laura Dunkley, and all who a?ded in the display showed excellent choice in the selection and arrangement arrange-ment of the different varieties of flowers and although this is one of our first flower shows it is an index to following years which will add to the happiness of the peple and the beauty of our stake. r . |
