Show among business men for his sincerity in what ever wort he waa called upon up-on to do. Funeral services was held Friday Fri-day afternoon at 3 p. m. in Cedar Fort. Prominent Resident Of Cedar Valley-Goes Valley-Goes To Reward Cedar Valley, Utah Mr. James Peterson, 61, a life long resident of Codar Valley, died at his home at 2 a. m. Wednesday after a continued illness of three months. Mr. Peterson was the son of Ole and Maren Peterson, who were among the early pioneers who came west in 1857 from Denmark. The family first settled in Iowa, later in 1852 coming to Utah. In 1887 Mr. Peterson was married to Miss Elva Ann Smith From this union three children were born after which Mrs. Peterson died In 1893. The children surviving are Julia Louisa Smith of Provo, and ,Mi'a. Erma Chamberlain of Cedar Fort. In 1899 Mr. Peterson was married to Miss Mario Elizabeth Peterson of I-ehi. Five children were born to this union: James E. Peterson, Laura Peterson, Sharon, Ole Peterson and Glen Peterson of Cedar Fort, and Mrs. Maren Weideman of Salt Lake City. In addition to his wife and children child-ren he is survived by eight grandchildren, grand-children, one brother, ffoseph Peterson, Peter-son, Ncola, Utah, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Fisher, of Vernal, Utah, Mrs. Inger Anderson of Lehi, and Mrs. Anna C. Wilcox of Cedar Fort. Mr. Peterson's life has been one of activity both in the church an'd In civic affairs and he is well known |
