Honors Brought Home From Barbers' Outing At Geneva The babers, beauty operators, students of beauty culture and friends, v. ho attended the outing at Geneva last Wednesday, acclaimed the day a rip-roaring success. After two very interesting baseball games in the afternoon, the crowd divided;! some entering the races, others the horse-shoe pitching contest, white j others enjoyed a swim. In the even- ing, hundreds of people attended the dance- At 10 o'clock, a brilliant bathing revue re-vue was staged under the. direction of Mrs. Alice M. Crookston of this city. Nine sun-kisses beauties of Utah county participated in the contest, con-test, and each person present, cast one vote for his choice. Miss Ruth Chapel of Provo, won first, prize, a beautiful gold wrist watch. Miss Naomi Gaisford of this city, won sec-on'd, sec-on'd, a permanennt wave and Miss Faye Ellison, also of this city, won third, a cash prize. Other entrants received $1-00 and a large box of candy. The crowd was very enthus- . iastie about the contest and praises were heard from all sides for the ' entrants from American Fork. The Master Barbers of Utah Co., I who sponsored the outiDg, achieved their goal in making the celebration one of the most out-standing outings held at Geneva this season. |
