V j Elder Richard Miller called to serve mission in Osaka, Japan Elder Richard Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Miller, of Pleasant Grove, has been called to serve in the Osaka, Japan LDS Mission. He will speak in a sacrament service Sunday, January 29 at 2 p.m., in the Pleasant Grove Eighth Ward Chapel, 1250 E. 200 South. Brett Henrie Elder Brett Henrie to report Sunday on Georgia mission Elder Brett Henrie has recently returned from serving two years in the Georgia Atlanta LDS Mission. An open house for friends and relatives will be held at the family home following sacrament meeting. :::SiHsi;:;:;i:i;::' Missionary farewell planned for Elder Bryce Ostler A missionary farewell for Elder Bryce Ostler, son of Floyd and Laurel Ostler, will be held Sunday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Fourteenth Ward, 825 S. Loader. Bryce has been called to serve in the Korea, Seoul Mission. He will enter the Missionary Training Center on Feb. 1. Friends and family are invited to his farewell. Bryce is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Semi-nary. He was involved in Key Club and attended many conventions for that organization. He is an Eagle Scout. Prior to his mission he has been working and taking classes at the Orem Institute of Religion. Bryce Ostler i Elder Jaren Grass to speak Sunday in Manila Ward Elder Jaren Grass, now from American Fork but formerly from Pleasant Grove, will speak in the Manila First Ward on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 9 a.m. Elder Grass returned from the Perth, Australia LDS Mission on Dec. 23. He reported on his mission in his new home ward in American Fork earlier. He has now been asked to report at his former ward where he lived when he received his mission call. All friends and relatives ofElder Grass are invited to hear his re-port. He is the son of George and MarJean Grass. Jaren Grass Frances McCarroll called to serve in Honolulu, Hawaii A missionary farewell for Sister Frances McCarroll will be held Sunday, Jan. 29, at 9 a.m. in the Manila Fourth Ward, 150 W. 1800 North, Pleasant Grove. An open house will be held that afternoon at the home of Faye Bel-listo- n, 735 W. 2600 North. All friends and relatives of the missionary are invited to attend the farewell and the open house. Frances has been called to serve in the Honolulu, Hawaii LDS Mis-sion. She is the daughter of Marvin andBertha Anderson ofHurricane. She graduated from high school in Idaho. Jeffrey D. Olpin Jeffrey D. Olpin to perform concerto Jeffrey D. Olpin, having won the Concerto competition at Brigham Young University, will perform a first movement of a Bartok Violin Concerto 2 with the BYU Philhar-monic Orchestra, he which he sits as concertm aster. The performance will be Wed-neda- Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the deJong Concert Hall in the Harris Fine Arts Center at BYU. Tickets are available at the music depart-ment ticket office. Jeffhas studied in several areas including Tanglewood Institute in the Boston area, Vienna, Austria, as well as locally with noted local teachers. He filled an LDS mission in Frankfurt, Germany during which time he had the opportunity to do much good with his violin and musical abilities. He is the son of Dee and Pauline Olpin of Pleasant Grove.
