Show Death of Bundy . . . over at last Although m any people disagree, I cannotfor the life of me even begin to understand why there is even a question here. The state of Florida has just put Ted Bundy to death for murder. He was accused of killing at least 36 girls. Every year thousands of murders mur-ders are committed in the name of abortion. No one is tried. No one is electrocuted. It is socially acceptable. accept-able. In nearly every instance, the woman or girl whohad the abortion done lives with terrible guilt the rest of her life. 1 : Proponents of abortion say it is a woman's body and she has the right to do with it as she wishes. That baby within her womb is not her body. Itmay be temporarily residing inside her womb but it is not her body. It is another human being's body and unfortunately it cannot yet speak for itself. If it could, it would say, "I Want To Live!" My aunt, a nurse, gave up her job in the operating room after seeing a live baby which had just been surgically aborted try to survive sur-vive on its own and die before her eyes. She said she could not go through that again. This did not occur in Utah nor is my aunt a Mormon. She is a good Christian lady, however. Any girl or woman who gets pregnant, knows how she got that way. Except in a case of force, the woman had the option of choosing not to participate. Once she has made that choice and pregnancy takes place, she no longer has the right to decide if another person is going to live or die. She could have used preventive measures. With all that is available today there is rarely an excuse for an unwanted pregnancy. If no preventive means are on hand, than abstention is always a aviable alternative, believe it or not. No, I cannot see that there is even a question here for any Supreme Su-preme Court to decide. The best we can hope for, perhaps, per-haps, is that the Supreme Court does decide that it is up to the states to handle, and that the states will listen to their conscience and not legalize abortion again. But, a baby, one of the most delightful things in the whole world, should not have to have it's life rest in the hands of legislators or an unwilling mother. With all those who want to adopt babies in this country, abortion is not necessary. It is murder, no matter how you look at it. End of sermon! By MARCELLA WALKER With the majority of the rest of America, I breathed a sigh of relief Tuesday morning when I heard on the news that Ted Bundy had been put to death in a Florida prison. For the sake of the families of the girls that he killed locally, I am also glad that he confessed to those killings. As terrible as it is, at least now those families know for sure and will not spend the rest of their lives wondering if their child is alive or dead. '. Thenewscastshavebeen loaded with analysists putting forth their ideas and interpretations about the mentality andreasoningof Ted Bundy. All of them have something interesting to say, but of them all, the California man who interviewed inter-viewed him Monday and taped his remarks, had the most stunning thing to say. He said that Bundy had told him that he had started looking at pornographic por-nographic materials when he was very young. As he went along, he went from soft porn to hard core pornography. Then by the time he was about 20 years old that was not enough anymore. Murder of innocent young girls I is what followed. Arthur Gary Bishop said the same thingbefore he was executed. One of the arguments you hear for allowing pornographic material p.g. blab ,s , N, xXC V to be printed is that it is a matter of personal rights and if a person wants tolook at that sort of thinghe is only hurting himself. ; '. ; ; Ask the parents of those 36 or more girls Bundy killed if he only hurt himself. Hundreds of people were hurt, devastated by his actions ac-tions as a result of pornography. Millions of people in the United States were appalled. As Bundy died Tuesday morning, morn-ing, thousands in Florida cheered. One more life was lostbecause of pornography on Tuesday morning in Florida. Now, the Supreme Court is going to be faced with another choice, for or against abortion. Some say that because of the more conservative makeup of the court it may decide to turn the question of legalized abortion over to the states. |
