"Several of the formal dinners were served by waiters in tuxedos and we ate with real silver and crystal," said Hill. "The hotel was really fancy with chandeliers and plush furnishings," he added. As a photography winner, Hill received a 35mm camera from Kodak and spent many hours in lectures and was a guest at several formal dinners, socials and parties. The group also toured the Sears Tower, one of the world's tallest buildings, several museums and other interesting Chicago sites. There were 22 4-H winners in a variety of divisions from Utah who made the trip. "Getting to know those kids from Utah and the nation was a great experience and something I'll remember throughout my life," Hill said. Carol Harmer helped John get John Hill |
