Scan Drake, Brian S. Gaines, Jon arson and Charles Larsen. Todd Davis, 13, is a seventh grader at Pleasant Grove Junior High. He received his Eagle badge at the Manila Stake Court of Honor held May 2G. For his Eagle project, he went around to the ward families and fingerprinted the children 10 and under for their parents' records. Todd enjoys fishing, camping and scouting. The past year he has been learning and doing Indian hoop (lancing with the Order of the Arrow. He is the son of Gayle N. and Lorraine Davis and a member of Troop 875 in the Manila 5th Ward. Brian Samuel Gaines, 13, son of David and Linda Gaines, Pleasant Grove, received his . Eagle Scout Award May 26 at a Court of Honor held in the Manila Stake Center. Brian is in the eighth grade at Pleasant Grove Junior High. He is a member of Troop 875. Brian likes soccer, tennis, camping and hiking. For his Eagle project, he built two olorage boxes to hold the camping gear for the girls program in his ward. Sean Drake, son of Dennis and Phyllis Drake, received his Eagle Scout award May 26 in a Eagle Court of Honor held in the Manila Stake Center. Sean is a member of Troop 875 in the Manila 5th Ward. For his Eagle Service project, Sean organized his troop in painting house numbers on the curbs by some homes in Pleasant Grove. This service project benefited the residents as well as the community services. Sean is and in the seventh grade at Pleasant Grove Junior High. He is a very good student, especially in math. He enjoys sports and scouting, but his first love is nature and animals. Jon and Charles Larsen are the third and fourth Eagles in the Steven Larsen family. They have three younger brothers who are active in scouting and watching their example. Jon was born 15 years ago in Houston, Texas. When he was 18 months old they moved to Manila. He has been active in the Manila Ward scout program and is now chapter chief of the Order of the Arrow, Timpanogos District. He served as senior patrol leader. Jon enjoys sports and was on the high school track team this year. Charles just turned 13 and is currently serving as the senior patrol leader and as Deacons Quorum president. Charles is active in the Order of the Arrow and busy dancing and working on his native American crafts. ?' Class of 1937 holds 50-ye- ar reunion Members of Pleasant Grove's graduating class of 1937 held it's 50th anniversary- - party on June 19 at ZCMI's Tiffin Room. Sixty-eig- classmates and spouses were present to enjoy an evening of reminiscing and socializing. Grant Gus Omer performed erncee duties and the David Thurgood Family from Lindon entertained during the evening. EIRoy West sang a vocal solo and Anna Fugal Bailey played the piano and accompanied the group as they sang the high school song led by Bernice Rasmussen. Mr. West also saner qpvoral solos Gold silk roses were presented to all the women present and a sketch of Pleasant Grove High School was also a gift for each couple. The committee in charge was: Abe and Geraldine Ekins; Lloyd and Norma Armistead; Ray and Marge Walker, LeRoy and Thelma B. Ash, Wesley and Bernice Rasmussen. Mom's Preschool holds graduation as Class of 2000 heads for kindergarten Ashley Halman, daughter of Boyd and Francie Hallman, likes to play dolls, color, and dance, and we like her tidy, happy ways. Allison H oward, daughter of Robert and Loise Howard, loves yellow, which matches her bright personality. The children are looking forward to kindergarten next year. I "Mom's Preschool," taught by Mothers, concluded a delightful year of learning activities with a graduation party at Hogle Zoo. Jacob Clegg, son of Allen and Linda Clegg, likes to help his Dad mow the lawn, ride his bike kand play with his dog. Adam Persson. son of Garth and Glenda Persson. enjoys playing games and cars, and is a helpful and obedient boy. Jeremy Gray, son of Lane and DeLayne Gray, is a good baseball player and bike rider, and his laughter is coiiiagnnis. Bethany Bigelow, daughter of Rob and Jill Bigelow, likes to play house and school, and we enjoy her bright smile. |
