Show Ducks Unlimited schedules banquet Local members of Ducks Unlimited are promoting a door prize for everyone who attends their local banquet to be held Friday, I April 24, at the American Fork i Senior Citizen Center. 1 "We're looking for a few good ducks," quips Mike Beck, district f chairman. "Everyone will be a winner. Local businesses have donated prizes in excess of $1500 and we'll make our best effort to see that everyone wins a prize," he says. The grand prize will be a pump 3-inch Magnum shotgun with an early bird ticket drawing for those who buy advance tickets by April 20. Ducks Unlimited is a non-profit organization that raises funds through this annual affair to rehabilitate the wetlands habitat in the local area. The main event for the evening will be an auction and raffle of limited edition prints, original paintings and collector edition shotguns. The cost for the banquet is $15 per plate or $30 per couple. Pre-registration will be at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and the auction and i, raffle will begin at 8 p.m. Other members of the organizing committee for the local Tri-City Chapter are Jeff Barker, Kim Kirkham, Jerry Sweat, Kelly I Nelsen, Rick Albrecht and Ernie Bray. They encourage everyone to attend. The public is invited to spend a buck and save a duck! |
