April 24. Jeana is the daughter of David and Judy Rasmussen of Highland. The prospective groom is the son of Darrvl and Mary Ann Olson of Provo. All friends and relatives are in-vited to attend a reception in honor of the couple the same evening from 7 to 9. It will be held at The Colonial House. 187 W. Main, Lehi. The bride will be attended by Danette Holland. Marci Rasmussen. Denise Olson, and sisters. Shauna. Tonya and Melissa Rasmussen. Robert Olson will pertorm man duties. Rhett, Bryce and Shane Rasmussen will serve as ushers. Guests of honor will be Glen and Edna Evans. Wes and Bern.ce Rasmussen. Lehi. and Reid and Tillie Dixon, Provo. Jeana is currently attending Hollywood Beauty College in Orem Steve graduated from Provo High School and is an amateur moto cross racer. Hosting showers for the bride were Danette Holland and Marci Rasmussen and the groom's sisters. The couple will live in Provo. Lee of Tooele are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Diane, to Bruce F. Friday, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland F. Friday. American Fork. The couple will exchange vows in the Provo LDS Temple on April i. A reception will honor the newlyweds that evening from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Tooele 14th Ward. An open house will be given by parents of the groom on Saturday, April 25. from 6 to 10 p.m. at the 24th Ward. 320 N. 100 East. American Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Miller will also host the couple at an open house in Overland Park. Kansas on May 9. Attending the bride will be Sharon Stokes, Brenda Cooper, Liz .Niederhauser and Michelle Cooper. Best man duties will be per-formed by Brent Priday, with Gene Friday, Tom Priday, Gary Lee and Eric Stokes serving as ushers. The bride-to-b- e is a graduate of Tooele High School and Utah State University with a degree in elementary education. She was active in the USU Symphonic and Marching Bands. She also graduated from the LDS Institute of Religion. Diane has been an elementary teacher in the Tooele and Nebo School Districts. The prospective groom graduated from American Fork High School. He received a B.A. degree in cor-porate communications and an M B A. degree from BYU where he was president of Phi Beta Lambda, vice president of the American Marketing Association and a member of Phi Kappa Phi. He was active in the Cougar Marching Band and the International Folk Dancers. He served an LDS mission to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Bruce is employed by Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Mo. The couple will make their home in Overland Park, Kansas. Bruce Priday Diane Lee Jason D. Firth to report on mission Elder Jason D. Firth will report on his recently completed LDS mission on Sunday, April 19, at 11:30 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove Eighth Ward, 1250 E. 200 South. Elder Firth, son of Ronald D. and Marie Firth, has returned from the Portugal, Lisbon Mission. All friends and relatives are in-vited to his homecoming. The Portugal Lisbon Mission is the highest baptizing mission in Europe, Elder Firth said. Portugal is one of the fastest growing areas in the worldwide Church. The public is encouraged to at-tend. The program will include a welcome by Garden Club President Vada Winters. The colors will be posted by Boy Scout Troop 23. Scoutmaster Garth Fielding 'will give the prayer. Remarks will be given by Mayor David Holdaway. Norman Barton will speak on the historical value of trees. Parks and Recreation Superintendent Bill Hoglund will present the tree donation plaques. Mrs. Winters will introduce the individual to whom the tree, which will be planted, is dedicated and there will be a tribute to the in-dividual honored. There will be a special recognition for a tree presented by the Family in honor of Harold Armitstead. William Peterson will sing and then the closing prayer will be given. Each year the Garden Club plants a tree on Arbor Day in memory of someone who has contributed to the community over the years. Karla Bezzant to speak at Missionary Homecoming A missionary homecoming for Karla Bezzant will be held Sunday, April 19, at 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove 18th Ward, 1250 E. 200 South. Karla, daughter of Clifford and Ruth Bezzant, has recently returned from the Paraguay Asuncion LDS Mission. All friends and relatives of the missionary are invited to attend and hear her report. Karla said that the Paraguay Mission is a relatively new mission and will be celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year. There are two existing stakes near the capital, Asuncion. |
