Adam Ozuna No order too large or too small for Darold's Meats If you think that a Darold's Meat's deals only in large orders, you are mistaken, according to Darold Clarke, owner of the Lindon business. Darold's motto is "No order is too large or too small." A mainly retail shop, Darold's will custom cut any meat you want. "Everything is cut fresh daily, even while the customer is in the store, in fact," Darold noted. Darold's Meats is located at 100 South State in Lindon. They are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. You can telephone in your order to 785-405-2 and they will have it ready when you arrive. Darold's makes their own ground beef patties. They have specialty meats and will cut your order to your specifications. Darold is proud of the fact that they offer only USDA Choice meats. "Few stores carry Choice anymore because of having to compete with low prices of other stores," Darold said. "We have not dropped the quality of our meat to compete with store ads," Darold explained. He carries a good line of fish, poultry and smoked meats. He also has Colby cheeses for sale. You can get lunch meats cut fresh to your order. One special feature is that they offer free home delivery service on orders of $50 or more, "something no one has now," Darold reported. Darold's specializes in freezer bundles, locker beef and beef pat-ties. He offers special prices for banquets and parties. They also process game for people but it is cut up in the shop next door so that it is not where they handle retail products. Darold and his assistant, Boyd Stewart, are both from Lehi. They have both been in the meat cutting business for about 30 years. Darold worked at Reams for 16 years in their meat department. He bought out Jim and Lynn's Meats about four years ago. Boyd worked for Price Brothers Market in Lehi- for 20 years. He has been working for Darold for about two years. No matter what size your order might be, from a small roast to a whole beef, drop in and see Darold's for all your meats. You'll enjoy visiting with either Darold or Boyd while they prepare your order for you. Darold Clarke, left, and Boyd Stewart cut USDA choice meat for customers orders.
