Show Chase Lee Davis 1 Hyrum H. Calton Chase Lee Davis, 22 months, died May 27, 1987, in Provo of injuries sustained in a drowning accident. He was born July 27, 1987, in Provo to Kyle Paul and Rochelle Patten Davis. He was born Oct. 20, 1915 in Cedar Fort, to Hyrum Calton Sr. and Mamie Ault Carlton. He married Beulah Rodeback March 27, 1935 in Lindon. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the U.S. Government at Deseret and Tooele Army Depot. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the LDS Church. He H. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 1987 at 11 a.m. in the Cedar Fort Chapel. He was born Aug. 7, 1931, in Salt Lake City Utah, a son of LeRoy Richard and Ruth Allridge Griffin. On April 28, 1962, he married Martha Ann Scoresby in Iona, Idaho, and later their marriage was solemnized in the Oakland LDS Temple. He was Bakery Merchandiser for Safeway Stores, with headquarters in Oakland, Calif. He also owned and operatee Griffin Bakeries i Salt Lake City and Utah Counties for the past nine years. High Priest Group instructor. He was a veteran of the Korean War. In high school he was active in sports, attaining All-State All-State status in both football and basketball. Survivors include his wife, Ann, of Sandy; son and daughters, Richard Griffin; Dianne Griffin, both of Provo; Kristi Griffin, Sandy; his parents, American Fork; a brother, Rod Griffin, West Jordan. Funeral services were held Monday, June 1, in the Sandy Utah Crescent West LDS Stake Center. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. Or a F. He was also a Sunday School teacher and a Ora Frampton Powers, 80, died Tuesday, May 26, 1987 in Alta View Hospital in Sandy. She was born June 12, 1906 in Pleasant Grove to Otto Lyman and Caroline Jensen Frampton. She married Thomas Powers June 5, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. 1 She was co-owner, with her husband, of Powers Shoe and llilliliBlpi:v MM Clothing Store. She is survived by a son and daughter: Ralph F. Powers, San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Kent (Reta) Abel, Lake Forest, 111.; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. One son preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 30, at the Wing Mortuary. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. Carolyn R. Reid Anderson Thank You -v "J Carolyn Rogers Reid, 44, died Tuesday, May 26, 1987 in Provo of a stroke. She was born June 20, 1942 in American Fork, to Richard Hogan and Luana Thornton Rogers. She married Stanford John Reid Aug. 2, 1962 in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a member of the LDS Church, serving ser-ving as Young Women's president, Relief Society president, visiting teacher, Gospel Doctrine teacher. She was a pre-school teacher, an accomplished ac-complished painter, Pageant of the Arts volunteer and ticket Cory (Amy) Hall, Provo; her mother and stepfather: Luana and Don Badham, Payson; one sister, Mrs. David (Susan) Robinson, Spanish Fork; grandmother, grand-mother, Leah Hofheins, American Fork; stepsisters: Geraldine Jensen and Lynnie Jarvis, both Payson; Janiel Deuel, San-taquin; San-taquin; stepbrother, Dick Badheim, Payson. She was preceded in death by her father. Services were held Saturday, May 30, in the American Fork West Stake Center. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. Fox Edith Chipman Fox, 84, of Lehi, died at her home Thursday, May 28, 1987 from cancer. She was born July 15, 1902 in American Fork, to William Henry and Sarah Elizabeth Parker Chipman. She married Harold Maxfield Fox April 22, 1925 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Aug. 18, 1983. She was raised in American Fork, the seventh of eight children. She graduated from American Fork High School and worked at the telephone office until her marriage, when she moved to Lehi. She then worked for People's State Bank, now the Bank of American Fork, for many years and at the Lehi City Office. In 1952 all her life, taking several prizes in flower shows that used to be held in Lehi. Her well-kept well-kept garden was the setting for many happy family gatherings. She enjoyed beautiful handiwork, especially tatting and crocheting. She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Harold C. Fox, American Fork; William H. Fox, Sandy; Mrs. B. Darrell (Phyllis) Call, Provo; nine grandchildren; eight grandchildren; one sister, LaRee VanWagoner, American Fork. Funeral services were held Monday, June 1, in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, Lehi. She was a member of the Honeyville Buddhist Church and was a member of the Fujinkai. She was born Sept. 13, I960 in American Fork to John F. and Darlene Laws Carpenter Carlson. She married Gary Matthew DeVincent Sept. 25, 1981 in Pleasant Grove. She was a member of the LDS Church. She attended schools in Pleasant Grove. She was an employee at the Utah State Training School. She is survived by her husband of American Fork; a daughter, Karrie Ann DeVincent, Pleasant Grove; her parents of Pleasant Grove; three sisters and a brother: Cherrie Lee Harding and Todd Carlson, both of Lehi; Farren Shane, St. George; Kelly Jean Miles, Pleasant Grove; grandmothers: Dorothy Cherriette, Pleasant Grove; Kathryn Davidson, American Fork. Marie Turner ' ' Wree' ' Diehl, 87, died Tuesday, May 26, 1987 in Draper. She was born Oct. 6, 1899 in Lehi to Charles A. and Mary Abigail Zimmerman Turner. She married Charles Elmo Diehl Oct. 31, 1923 in Salt Lake City. He died Sept. 14, 1984. She was a homemaker and a member of the LDS Church and served in many assignments. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, having held many offices, including past-president. She , served as a volunteer Republican Club. Survivors include two brothers and seven sisters: Eldon L. (Dutch) Turner, Midvale; Virgil Henry Turner, Pleasant Grove ; Ordell Hard-castle, Hard-castle, Sandy; Gwen McFarlane, Riverton; Ruth Graham, American Fork; Betty Powell, Lehi; Adine McFarlane, Provo; Klea Ernst, West Jordan; Wanda (Bonnie) West, Draper. She was also an active member of the ! Michael T. Simmons Michael Ted Simmons, Sim-mons, 34, of Springville, 1 died Saturday, May 30, 1987 at his home. 1 He was born April 7, 1953in Payson to Ted C. " and Joyce Wyler - Simmons. He was a member of the LDS Church. IHe attended schools in Pleasant Grove, graduating from Pleasant Grove High School and Seminary. He later attended Central Utah Community Com-munity College. He played the drums in several musical groups.
