The first occurred at 3 p.m. Saturday in Lindon when a fire that had started in some tree clippings was reported. The firemen were on the scene for about one hour and there was no damage. The second fire was reported at 4 p.m. at 1714 East Blackhawk. A property owner was going to burn some trash and the fire got out of hand. Seventeen firefighters and three trucks fought the blaze for two hours. There was no monetary damage, as brush was all that burned. Approximately, one and one-half acres were burned. Then just after midnight fire crews responded to a car fire at 650 E. 500 North. The owner of the car said it was valued at about $100. The Fire Dept. reported that the owner had just driven the car home and been in the house a few minutes when the car caught fire. The Fire Department believes it was a carburetor problem that caused the fire. Two trucks, and 15 men had the fire out in 20 minutes. |
