Show Don't lose your blue card, hunters When a hunter under 21 years of age buys a hunting license, heshe must show proof of completing a hunter education course by showing a "blue card." The blue card does not need to be and should not be carried in the field while hunting. A day or two before each hunting season, the Division of Wildlife Resources offices are packed with young hunters and parents trying to obtain duplicate blue cards because a young hunter has misplaced the card or lost his wallet. Wildlife officials urge young hunters and their parents to keep the blue cards in a safe place, perhaps in a family file, a safe deposit box or even a sock drawer. Then, once a year, go to that safe place for the blue card and take it with you when purchasing the hunting license. |
