Show Viking Boosters to support lady spikers Tuesday, Sept. 22, has been selected as a 'key game' by Coach Marie Bone and the Pleasant Grove High School volleyball team who will strive for a victory over Spanish Fork. The strong and competitive team returned this week from the Cache Valley Invitational where they not only beat the Region rival, Spanish Fork, but six other teams to take second place. The only loss was to a 4-A school, the Box Elder Bees who took first place. The win over Spanish Fork was the first time in three years that a P.G. volleyball team has beat the Dons. The varsity has won 9 games and lost only one. Fans, parents, alumni and all who have followed or wished they could attend a girls' match should attend and support Booster Night. The Sophomores play at 4 p.m., the. Jr. Varsity at 5 p.m., and the Varsity at 6: 15 p.m. True or False: "A booster is a person or fan who has paid a $10 fee." A real Viking Booster starts by joining the Boster Club (which includes a $10 fee,) but is seen in the stands cheering, and supporting their team. He travels to away games as well as 'home' games. He knows who the team members are, who the starters are, who the captains are, what the strengths of the team are, and what the teams win-loss record is. A real Viking Booster is in the stands every game. Be a Viking Booster-Support girls' volleyball! Attend Tuesday, Sept. 22. |
