Ash are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Kathleen, to Max A. Porter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Porter of Phoenix, Arizona. Arizona. The couple was married in the Mesa Arizona Temple on Saturday, Sept. 12, 1987. A reception was held that evening at the Phoenix Third Ward Chapel. A reception will also be held Friday, Sept. 18, at the Pleasant Grove Stake Center, 275 East 500 South, Pleasant Grove, from 7 to 9 p.m. Kathleen graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1984 where she was a member of the Drill Team and Secretary of her Senior Class. She attended Utah Valley Community College and Utah State University for three years. She is presently employed as a receptionist for Lyons Plastering and Investments in Phoenix. Her husband is a graduate of Central High in Phoenix. He served an LDS mission in the Bolivia LaPaz mission. He graduated from Arizona State University in 1985 and is presently employed as an ac-countant for the accounting firm of Llanan and Jeppesen in Phoenix. Prenuptial parties were given for Kathleen by Linda Tingey, Kim Allred, Kathleen Bullock and by Leann Jeppesen, Michelle Porter and Ila Rae Porter. The young couple will make their home in Phoenix. They would like to extend an invitation to all friends and relatives to attend their reception. The bride-to-b- e is the daughter of Skov and Grethe Jenson, Provo. The prospective groom is the son of Carl and June Warnick, Pleasant Grove, and the late Janice E. Warnick. The couple will be feted following the wedding at a wedding breakfast at Prestwich Farms. A reception will honor them the same date from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Manila 1st Ward, 3986 W. 8800 North, Pleasant Grove. All friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend. Attendants will include Christine Proctor, Camille Mulesten. Diane Warnick, Beth Steiner and Mary Jane Jarvis. Flower girls will be Stephanee Jenson and Bonnie Jarvis. The bride attended Pleasant Grove High School and graduated in Elko, Nevada this year. The groom graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Seminary in 1986. The wedding and a family dinner honored the couple at the home of the groom's mother. The Newmans with their children, Kody and Kelli, along with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Sparks, flew to New York for the event. The bride graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and she went to New York as a nanny. She is currently attending Nassau Com-munity College. The groom graduated from Lafayette College in Pennslyvania. He is currently employed at Shane's Marina in Longbeach. The couple will make their first home at Point Look-ou- t, New York.
