Hansen Mountaineering plans special course on 72-ho- ur survival At Hansen Mountaineering, Inc. they get asked many questions about items for 72 Hour Survival Kits. In talking with people they have found a lack of knowledge and understanding of this type of sur-vival situation and equipment that is needed. Some have put tablet fuel stoves in their 72 hour kits. The problem with this type of stove is that they will hardly warm a cup of hot chocolate, let alone boil water to purify it or cook on. This situation and others have led them to develop a Special 72 Hour Survival Course. Below is a brief outline of the things that will be covered. This course is highly recommended for all. Early registration is a must to insure a spot, the number of participants is limited. This course is specially designed to teach the root skills required during any survival situation. A 72 hour survival kit is good, but only as good as your ability to make the best of a bad situation. Things to be covered include the survival for-mula, survival gear and food, emergency medicl priorities, how the mind influences our safety and reactions, the subconscious mind to cope with the survival situation, the survival priorities, improvisation skills and more. The course is recommended for all. There will be 90 to 120 minutes of instruction. The course is only $25. Participants will receive a 72 Hour Survival Training Cer-tificate upon successful completion of the class. Classes will be held Thursday, April 30, 7 p.m.; Tuesday, May 19, 7 p.m.; Wednesday, June 24, 7 p.m.; Thursday, July 23, 7 p.m.; and Thursday, August 27, 7 p.m. For more information, call or stop in at: Hansen Mountaineering, Inc., 757 North State, Orem 226-749- JIJ S dtLM M rwi Jllii lwM iii'is dm We've used the same system to deliver your hometown newspaper since as early as the turn of j u.,. 4jw I e cen(.ury I 1 Our delivery system has always been considered JTTrX I v.V 1 expensive, but then again, it has always been the ' ftlB2 ' I 'Y.
