The contractors leview will be April 5 through 10. lid openings will be near the end of Lpril. It is expected construction will iegin as soon as school is out. They Ire hopeful construction will be Completed in the fall of 19187. y the lunch dining area should be Complete by fall of 1986. j The new media center will have n outside entrance for extended ise. All future media centers will be lesigned as the new Pleasant Grove yacility. it. The Activity Center will feature a lazuli size basketball floor, a dance tied xea and new locker and shower iuf ooms. The present girls shower ice. oom will be the wrestling room. The boys shower room will be emodeled with new lockers and ithletic locker rooms. The present media center will be nade into four classrooms. It will irobably be the last project as the nedia center will have to be completed before the move can take M Construction will carry on while Tlchool is in session next year. Mr. ' lacklin recently returned from California where an award was r ; (resented to the Alpine School Mstrict in Building Design. ! The. new Canyon View Junior ,icet!Iigh in North Orem received the iti''lhirley Cooper Award. This is the irst time a school in Utah has been - lecognized in the annual com-J com-J Letition. I' While in California, Mr. Jacklin 'isited three schools. He felt there vas not a school in the district he vould trade for the California chools in terms of meeting the leeds of our students. j The district is preparing for next "'ear. The Suncrest School in orem vill open for those presently at- ending Spencer School. There is a ' leavy population with several nobile homes parks in the area. |
