Show Old fashioned Christian camp meeting planned Local non-denominational Christians, many of whom meet in private homes or small local churches, will join hundreds of others from all over Utah and the western U.S. in beautiful Parowan Canyon near Cedar Breaks for the 20th annual Old Fashioned Christian Camp Meeting July 2-5. The four-day event, which is open to all, starts Wednesday, July 2, at 7 p.m. when Christian believers gather at Parowan City Park for songs and entertainment to initiate activities. The following morning they will move on up Parowan Canyon where three full days of "undenominational" "un-denominational" sharing under the big tent will get underway.- At 10 each morning and 7 each evening, hundreds of voices will be lifted up in prayer, praise, and song and worship at Willow Flat, one-half mile past the creek that crosses the well-graded road. Evangelists from Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah will bring inspirational in-spirational messages. A variety of singing and musical groups will provide gospel and praise music. The turnoff to Willow Flat will be plainly marked by signs on Parowan Canyon Road (Utah Highway 143), say sponsors of the event, members of the Assembly of Jesus Christ in Parowan. Free to all, the camp meeting will also feature youth services at 6 each evening. |
