Monson Wesley Donald DeMine, 68, of American Fork, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 1986 in a Salt Lake City hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile accident. He was born Aug. 11, 1918 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Leon Charles and Edna Lornetta John DeMine. He married Leecia Breeze Fairbourn June 16, 1966 in Orem. She died Aug. 29, 1985. He was a farmer, television technician and worked in main-tenance. He served in the Army in World War pli:::Pfl V&:V";AKy. Iff 1 ii. He was a member of the LDS Church. He is survived by three sons and one daughter: Leon Charles DeMine, Roy Gene DeMine and Lorren julian DeMine, ai, American Fork; m Brunette, ' Lehi; fo grandchildren; brother two sisters, Robert Ray Johnston Stockton, Calif.; M ' ' Vance (Edna Mae) Green and Mrs. Nv). Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. William Frederick Zauss, 63, of Pleasant Grove, died Friday, Dec. 5, 1986 in American Fork, of pump failure due to cardiac shock. He was born Jan. 31, 1923 in Jerome, Idaho to William Frederick and Mildred Mary Knowlen Jacobsen. He married Eliner Ruth Harvie June 17, 1950 in San Diego, Calif. The marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. He was retired from Pacific Telephone and Telegraph. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was active in the Pleasant Grove 9th Ward. He was a High Priest group leader, temple ordinance worker in the Los Angeles Temple and a member of the Sunday School presidency. Services were under the direction of Bishop Glade Walker of the Pleasant Grove Ninth Ward. Pallbearers were Barney Zauss, Barry Zauss, Ralph Harvie, Don Harvie, Floyd Morley, and Clarence Flegal. Honorary pallbearers were Verl Warburton and Shirl Winters. The family prayer was given by Barry Zauss. Linda Jensen played the prelude and postlude. The invocation was by Floyd Morley. Becky Bales sang "Oh My Father", ac-companied by Linda Jensen on the piano and Anne Hill on the violin. Memories were presented by Nancy Madsen, Barry Zauss, Michelle Bledsoe and Barney Zauss. Don Harvie played "A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief" as a piano solo. The speaker was Ralph Harvie. The congregation sang "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," directed by Gloria Seely and accompanied by Linda Jensen. The benediction was by Clarence Flegal and the grave was dedicated by Barney Zauss. Dan E. Monson, 52, Lehi, died Thursday, Dec. 4, at the American Fork Hospital of a heart attack. He was born Jan. 3, 1934 in Lehi to Elmer Richelieu and Edith White Monson. He was a school bus driver for the Utah State Training School and had worked as a brick mason and worked for Lehi City. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; three sons and one daughter: Kelly Dan Monson and Mrs. Thomas (Cindy) Ruckman, both of American Fork; Dale Rex Monson, Provo; Brent L. Monson and Mrs. Allen (Marie) Strasburg, both of Lehi; Mrs. Grant (Gloria) Parker, American Fork; and Mrs. Larry (Nancy) Weitzel, Calif. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 8, under the direction of Bishop Ronald V. Smith. Gloria Parker played the prelude and postlude music. The family prayer was give by Bob White. Speakers included Wonoma Hicks, who gave the biographical sketch; Bishop Grant Christofferson; and Bishop Smith. Leonard Wing played an organ medly of western songs and "Oh Danny Boy." The benediction was given by Bart Christofferson. Bishop Smith dedicated the grave site at the Lehi City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kelly Monson, Dale Monson, Brent Monson, Tom Ruckman, Clay Calton, Owen Moore and Dick Lewis. Greta M. Vance Peterson Card of Thanks Greta M. Vance, 71, passed away Dec. 2, 1986, in Mesa, Ariz., after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Oct. 21, 1915 in Hunter, a daughter of Christian and Maude V. Blunt Peterson. She married Harmon T. Vance Sept. 8, 1983 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Because of her caring, she touched all she came in contact with. Ferril Elizabeth Crane Pierpont, 81, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 1986 in Alpine of causes incident to age. She was born July 7, 1905 in Riverton to Heber Stewart and Mary Jane Miller Crane. She married Thomas George Pierpont June 6, 1928 in Salt Lake. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died April 24, 1986. She was a retired school teacher and a prominent golfer. She was an active member of the American Fork 7th Ward. Survivors include two children: Thomas Crane Pierpont, Parowan; and Kay Pierpont Kane, Car-micha- Calif. ; three sisters: Olive C. Smith, Salt Lake; Vilate C. Shaffer, Houston, Tex.; Lavon C. LaSalle, Santa Rosa, Calif.; one brother, Milt Crane, Los Angeles, Calif. ; five grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren. A graveside service for Ferril Elizabeth Crane Pierpont, 81, was held Monday, Dec. 8, at the Provo City Cemetery. She died Thursday, Dec. 4, 1986. A native of Utah, she was born July 7, 1905, in Riverton to Heber Stewart and Mary Jane Miller Crane. She was the eighth child in a family of 11. She attended BYU and graduated from the University of Utah on June 5, 1928. She married Thomas George Pierpont on June 6, 1928. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died April 24, 1986. Mrs. Pierpont used her home economics background and education in a variety of occupations, including private industry and education. She retired from a teaching position with Granite School District in 1970. She was a prominent woman golfer in Provo, winning two city championships. She was an active member of the American Fork 7th LDS Ward. She is survived by a son and a daughter, Thomas Crane Pier-pont, Parowan, Utah; Kay Pierpont Kane, Carmichael, Calif.; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters and one brother, Olive C. Smith, Salt Lake City; Vilate C. Shaffer, Houston, Texas; Lavon C. LaSalle, Santa Rosa, Calif.; Milt Crane, Los Angeles, Calif.
