Show PG City Council approves E911 Mayor David Holdaway requested a meeting with Vickers, Supt. Bill Hoglund of the Parks and Recreation Dept., and Public Works Director Frank Mills to discuss this option. It was noted that the city is advertising ad-vertising for a Deputy City Recorder. The city employees Christmas Party will be held Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Community Center. The Pleasant Grove City Council Save its approval Tuesday to the E911 Emergency Telephone System. The city agreed to sign an agreement and resolution to support tlle system as the Utah County Commissioners passed the E911 hterlocal Agreement in November. Each city is being asked to sign the areement and resolution in support of the system. This system will be funded "ugh a charge of not more than 50 cents per month on each local exchange ex-change access line located in feasant Grove. Though this system, when a ident dials the 911 number, the name. address and telephone number of the telephone being used M come up on a computer screen r the dispatcher at the Pleasant wove Police Dept. A Person would not even have to Speak, as long as the emergency number had been dialed, and assistance could be dispatched to at location. Implementation of this system would begin in the near future. Hie city council also decided that " city will sell business licenses at a half year rate for $30. Door-to-door sales license newals will be placed at $50. It is K) for the first year door-to-door Since only one roofing company had extended a bid to re-roof the Old Bell School (Pioneer Museum), the city council decided to wait untill next spring when other construction companies will bid on the project. Building Official Fred Christensen will take a look at the rafters on the west side of the building to be sure they will be safe through the winter. Maymetta Johnson and Afton Atkinson of the Daughter of the Utah Pioneers passed out histories of he Old Bell School and one on the log cabin. They said that the DUP is doing a brief history of Pleasant Grove which will be given out to tourists this summer. The DUP will hold regular tour hours this summer. The council reviewed a resolution drawn up by the Alpine School District on an agreement with the citv for exchanging usage of buildings. The council suggested some word changes.
