Vikings win one, lose two Jeff Harris scored 23 and Scott Jensen added 19 to boost Pleasant Grove to a 71-5- 9 opening basketball win over Judge Memorial last week. The Vikes took a one point first period lead and then increased the margin throughout the game. Cody Bell had 8, Todd Simmons 7, David Flinders 6, Derrick Dickerson 4 and Greg Grothe and Craig Hayden 2 each in the win. The JV led by Todd Mosher with 15, and Dickerson with 13 and Scott Flinders with 12, rolled over the Bulldogs 70-4- At American Fork Friday, the Cavemen edged PG 55-5- Again Harris was the top Pleasant Grove scorer with 21. In the junior varsity game at American Fork, the Vikes lost 71-6- 6. Saturday, in a game originally scheduled at PG, but played in Lehi because of construction at the Viking school, the Pioneers, led by Matt Calton's 30 point performance, beat the Vikes 87-7- Jensen and Bell had 20 and 19 points against Lehi. PG's junior varsity rolled over the Pioneers 68-4- Pleasant Grove will play at Mountain View Friday and at Orem on Saturday. UP&L to present Santa story " Christmas is just a few weeks ; jway. if you have not caught the " "Christmas Spirit" yet, Utah Power ; and Light Company would like to invite you to its Christmas " presentation entitled - "Santa, the Legend." " It is a lovely presentation about Santa, his beginnings and stories about Santas from various coun-tries. Also featured are some ex-citing Christmas decorations, as well as tempting foods and taste treats for the holidays. A recipecalendar book will be available for all attending. The last presentation will be given Tuesday, Dec. 16, at'l and 7 p.m. at the Utah Power and Light Auditorium, 51 E. Main, American Fork. All adults are invited to attend. Little Mountain Grapplers register Registration for Little Mountain Grapplers will be held through Friday, Dec. 12, at the Pleasant Grove Recreation Office from 3 p.m. to5p.m. daily. Any who have wrestled in Coach Henry's program for two years and who live in Pleasant Grove or Lindon are invited to register. All those who . wrestled with . Little Mountain Grapplers last year are also invited back. Practice will begin as soon as registration is completed. This program is very competitive and wrestlers compete with other grapplers from all over the state. Registration costs this year are S20 per boy.
