Show Pioneer crafts sought for Community Fair Aug. 30 The residents of Pleasant Grove are being encouraged to exhibit things were made by their grandparents grand-parents and great-grandparents as well as modern crafts in the annual show at the Community Fair on Aug. 30. Jeanne Adamson, chairwoman over the Arts and Crafts and Horticulture Hor-ticulture Shows for the fair, said . than any kind of handmade items by our forbears would be a great addition ad-dition to the show. They will have a special section prepared to display . these old projects. Of course, current arts and crafts are encouraged as well. There will be sections for dolls, quilts, sewing, ceramics, painting, crafts, embroidery, em-broidery, crochet, knitting and all . other hand work items. For the Horticulture section they are going to give special emphasis to the different varieties of each of the types of vegetables and fruits. They ask those submitting entries to have them to the Community Center on 200 South by the City Park at 8 a.m. on Aug. 30. These displays will be just a ppart of the many activities planned for the Community Fair which will begin with a flag ceremony and breakfast at 7 a.m. and continue Jeanne Adamson displays some of the items which will be shown in the Pleasant Grove Community Fair Aug. 30. throughout the day with exhibits, booths, entertainment, good food, and games. The Community Fair is a celebration of the birthday of Pleasant Grove and all residents, former residents, and friends of the city are invited to attend. |
