Show Christmas Sounds to ring Sunday An inexpensive way to get into the Christmas spirit - that's one way of regarding the "Joyful Sounds of Christmas" coming Nov. 30 to the American Fork Tabernacle. Another way of looking at the production is as a gift. Suzanne Tyler, co-producer with Kristine Boswell says the evening of song and music is a Christmas gift to the community. "It's a gift of Christmas Beauty," says Tyler. "We don't make any money with this, except to cover our expenses. It's a joint community effort to do something extra for others." "Joyful Christmas Sounds" will include on the program; Marvin Payne singing a couple of solo numbers, a full orchestra, a 57 piece band and the Halliday Family from Alpine. The Hallidays plan to sing an original number, "Mr. Santa." A combined Youth and Adult Choir will sing. A Children's Choir will present two numbers. Even the audience participates in a number or two, "White Christmas" Christ-mas" is one. "The Dawning of Christmas" will be presented with slides and strings. A combined orchestra and band will play "Gloria." "It's just a beautiful way to introduce in-troduce the season and catch the spirit of the holidays," says Tyler, "And it's not expensive. The whole family can come." Tickets are available at the door or from members of the production for $1 donation per individual or $5 donation per family. As an added bonus, small candy canes will be given away as patrons leave the hall. |
