She will speak in a sacrament on July 28 at 11:30 a.m. in STllanila First Ward, 4000 W. 8800 North, Pleasant Grove. house will be held at the An open family home, 10079 North Willow Court, Cedar Hills. Dardree is an honor graduated of pleasant Grove High School and LDS Seminary. While in high school she was a member of the French Club, National Honor Society and theViqueens Drill Team. She attended Ricks College, BYU and Utah Technical College. She is currently working at McDonalds in American Fork. Brian Keate Elder Brian Keate, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth J. Keate, will speak Sunday, July 28, at 10:50 a.m. in the Grove Ward Chapel, 400 E. 200 South. He will serve in the Guatemala City Guatemala Mission and will enter the Mission Training Center on August 8. Brian graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Seminary. He also attended BYU for one year. He has worked at Riverside Country Club and the Coca Cola Bottling Company in Provo. All of his friends and relatives are invited to his farewell. Matt Norman Elder Matt Norman, son of Tad and Tove Norman, will be honored at a missionary farewell on Sunday, July 28, at 10:40 a.m. in the Lindon Fourth Ward. Elder Norman will enter the Missionary Training Center Aug. 8 prior to his departure to the Illinois, Chicago LDS Mission. All friends and relatives are in-vited to his farewell. Matt excelled in sports including football, basketball and baseball. He is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Seminary. He has attended Utah Technical College and played baseball there. Lindon Center honors two employees for valued service and care By KALYN SECRETAN Amidst flowers, colorful balloons and mile-lon- g sandwiches, recognition was given to special people at the Lindon Care and Training Center. Joyce Hailing, administrator, paid tribute to Mrs. Joe Hilton in behalf of her late husband. The employee of the year was also named at the special luncheon. Darlene Carlson was the recipient of the special honor for 1985. Mrs. Hilton accepted a plaque in honor of her husband who served five years as a Seminary teacher. His involvement began when his daughter, Barbara, was admitted in 1978. He always supported the facility. He saw a need to become involved and offered his service as a Seminary teacher. The residents loved Brother Hilton. He was a devoted teacher and they accepted his passing. Mrs. Hilton learned to love the handicapped through her husband. The Hilton's accepted them totally, and felt the experience was a special mission on earth. Mrs. Hilton paid tribute to Joyce Hailing who works steadfastly with the handicapped. The Hilton's are the parents of seven children, Karen and Steve attended the luncheon with their mother. The employee of the year came as a surprise announcement. Darlene Carlson started working at the care center in April 1980 as a nurses aid. In August she filled in at the business office for an employee on maternity leave. She fit in so well, she has remained in the office the past five years. Darlene has held various titles. She served as secretary for the programming department and is involved in managing finances for residents. Darlene gets along well with the residents. She is known as a "tease," but they all love hef-- . She seems to be a woman of many talents, she likes to drive the bus and tinker around with the vehicles. She is also "Everybody's Mom" to the residents and employees. Darlene lives in Pleasant Grove with her husband, Jack. They are the parents of five children. Elder Liddle returns from Venezuela mission Elder Jim Liddle, son of Al and JoAnn Liddle, will report on his recently completed mission on Sunday, July 28, at 1:20 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Eighteenth Ward, 1250 E. 200 South.All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Elder Liddle has returned from the Caracas, Venezuela LDS Mission. An open house for Jim will be held Saturday, July 27, at the Liddle home. Jim served in seven areas during his two year mission. ' Cub Scout Circus planned at Twelfth Ward Saturday The Pleasant Grove Twelfth Ward Cub Scouts will hold a circus on Saturday, July 27, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Stake Center, 275 E. 500 South. There will be games, prizes and food. Tickets are five for $1 in adv-ance or four for $1 at the circus. To . purchase tickets call Dave ls at 785-599- 7 or Kenny Kindle at 785-212- A quilt will be given away. Donations for tickets on the quilt may be made at the circus. Proceeds from the circus will be used to finance Cub Scout activities. The public is invited to attend. Joel McNees joins A.F. exercise Airman 1st Class Joel K. McNees, son of George E. McNees of Pleasant Grove,. has participated in Global Shield 85, an exercise in-volving U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard and Marine Corps units, and elements of Die Canadian forces. The exercise, coordinated by the Air Force Strategic Air Command (SAC), was designed to enhance readiness and the ability of SAC to carry out orders should deterrence fall. McNees is a pavements main-tenance specialist with the 3902nd Air Base Wing at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb.
