Show SID planned for road, sewer By MARCELLA VVALKEK Pleasant Grove City Council Tuesday approved a notice of intent to form a special improvement district for those who need to hook onto the sewer and for road improvements im-provements on 1400 East Street. The slate and city laws state that a property owner must hook on to the sewer when it is brought to within 200 feet of their property line. Now that the sewer lines have been extended ex-tended into portions of Pleasant Grove which have not had sewer, these residents are being asked to hook on. In order to make it easier for them to pay for the necessary fees, the city has decided to form the Special Improvement District and allow anyone who needs to hook on to the sewer to do so at a low rate of interest, in-terest, with payments spread out over several years. Any residents who would like to take advantage of this opportunity to hook on to the sewer, should contact Robert Williams at the city hall immediately. Everyone who's property line is within 200 feet of the sewer line is required to hook on, the city council said, unless it is physically impossible im-possible to hook on to the sewer because of grade. Streets specifically mentioned in the notice of intent are 1300 West from the north property line of Garden Village Subdivision to 1100 North Street, 1100 North from 1300 West to 1520 West except lots in the Firwood Subdivision, .600 West from 1100 Northto 2600 North except the Pleasant Green Acres and Noble Estates Subdivisions, 1800 North from 600 West to 900 West except the Cascade Meadows Subdivision, plus the rest of the city not hooked on where the sewer is available. The work on 1400 East Street will consist of paving the road and placing a rolled curb on the east side of the road. Those with any questions should contact the Pleasant Grove City Hall immediately. The required notices and hearings on the matter are planned. |
