Show Review - Wednesday, March 27, 1985 - Page 7 Pearl Sweat McMillan pearl Sweat ha,. 86, of Pleasant Sfove, died March 26 in Provo. She was born on Nov. 15 1898 in Park City to James and Hyrum Rosella Lee Sweat. She married George Mc- Millan in Heber City. He diedNov.10,1964. She was an active member of the LDS Church living in the Pleasant Grove Third Ward where she had taught in all of the auxiliaries and been active in music circles. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She had taught at the Utah State Training School for several years. She had lead the singing in the Training School LDS Branch.. She is survived by two sons and two daughters: Mrs. William (Anna Rose) Harris, Pleasant Grove; Lee R. Mc- Millan, Orem; Mrs. Finn (Carol) Murdoch, American Fork; and Kenneth R. McMillan, Lindon ; 14 grand-children and 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary of Pleasant Grove where friends may call Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. or Friday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Pearl S. McMillan Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. VjTO gold CDOTQ Resolution No. 1985-- 2 approved WHEREAS, Pleasant Grove City is a member I of the Timpanogos Special Service District ..and has contracted for wastewater treatment services, and I WHEREAS, the Timpanogos Special Service District has recently expanded the existing treatment plant capacity from 7.6 MGD to 10.34 MGD to handle projected in-- 1 fluent flows thru 1996, and WHEREAS, the Timpanogos Special Service District charges Pleasant Grove City for costs of treatment, and WHEREAS, the costs of treatment have been determined and will be increased b y 15 on April 1, 1985, and assessed to Pleasant Grove City, and WHEREAS, current user charges are not covering the costs of the sewer department, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of Pleasant Grove that the following rates be charged all sewer users in the city : Residential users are considered to be one class of user and are assessed a charge of $9.00 per month plus a charge of $0.65 per 1,000 gallons of water used per winter month (October thru March). Multiple Dwelling units, including motels, are to be considered one class of user and are assessed a charge of $9.00 per month per unit plus a charge of $0.65 per 1,000 gallons of water used per winter month (October thru March). Schools will pay $0.16 per student per month for each month of the year. Commercial and Industrial users with BOD and SS no greater than the average residential user's strength of 200 mg1 BOD and 215 mg1 SS will pay a charge of $9.00 plus a charge of $0.65 per 1,000 gallons of water used per winter month (October thru March). Churches will pay a charge of $9.00 per month plus a charge of $0.65 per 1,000 gallons of water used per winter month (October thru March). Sleeper units at Maple Hills Apart-ments $2.30 per unit per month plus a charge of $0.65 per 1,000 gallons of water used per winter months. The effective date of these rates shall be April 1, 1985. Connection fees shall be one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for the first dwelling unit and eight hundred fifty ($850.00) for each additional dwelling unit for a multiple complex under single ownership. C. Sewer connection fees to main lines which have been extended at AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF TITLE 9, CHAPTER 10, SECTION 13, TO PROVIDE A NEW FEE SCHEDULE FOR SEWER CONNECTION FEES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PLEASANT GROVE CITY, UTAH COUNTY, STATE OF UTAH: Section of the Pleasant Grove City Code is hereby amended to read: SEWER CONNECTION FEE SCHEDULES: (A) Sewer connection fees to main lines which have been installed after Jan. 1, 1970, at the expense of the City shall be as follows: 1. Fourteen dollars (14.00) per linear front foot on all frontage abutting City installed main lines to a maximum of one hundred fifty (150) feet per dwelling unit; plus four hundred dollars ($400.00) for each City installed sewer lateral plus the charges in paragraphs a or b below. a. One thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per connection for all property owners con- -' structing a single family residence in Pleasant Grove City. b. Connection fees shall be one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for the first dwelling unit and eight hundred fifty dollars ($850.00) for ' each additional dwelling unit for a multiple complex under single ownership. Where an apartment or apartments are added to an existing residence, a connection fee for eight hundred fifty dollars ($850.00) for each apartment will be paid to Pleasant Grove City. For commercial and industrial connections the same fees as for residential shall apply. If a connection fee situation does not lend itself to any of the conditions heretofore given, the City Council shall determine fees to be charged upon the recommendation of the City Engineer. B. Sewer connection fees within any sub-division constructed in Pleasant Grove City shall be as follows: 1. One thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per the expense of a private individual, individuals or firm shall include the regular City connection fees as provided in subsection (A) plus any other charges as established by the City Council to provide for refunds to the person, persons or firm making the original extension as provided in (C). Council approves Ordinance No. 1985-- 3 An ordinance changing the zoning district classification for some real property from the agricultural district 2, "A-2- to the residential district 1, "R-l,- " changing the official zoning map of the City of Pleasant Grove; and providing an effective date. Be it ordained by the City Council of Pleasant Grove City, Utah County, State of Utah, as follows: Section I. Change in zoning classification: The zoning classification of the below described real property is hereby changed from the Agricultural District 2, "A-2,- " to the Residential District 1, "R-l.- " Section of the City Code of the City of Pleasant Grove and the official Zoning Map of the City of Pleasant Grove are hereby amended to show the following described real property to be located in the Residiential District 1, "R-l,- " rather than the Agriculture District 2, "A-2,-" said real property being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a point located South 2057.48 feet and East 2595.35 feet from the West corner of Section 17, Township 5 South, Range 2 East, Salt Lake Base and Meridian; thence North 89 35' West 660.00 feet; thence North 00 24 '08" East 780.02 feet; thence South 89 29'16" East 100.56 feet; thence South 00 41'01" West 25.61 feet; thence South 89 29'15" East 560.15 feet; thence South 00 26'49" West 753.31 feet to the point of begin-ning. Area: 9 acres. Section II. Severability: The provisions of this Or-dinance are severable. Section III. Repealer: The provisions of all prior ordinances which are inconsistent or in conflict with this Or-dinance are hereby repealed. Section IV.
