Photo by Steve Cook . i i No home,, team takes third I By STEVE COOK t Tom Carlile, principal at Pleasant Grove High School, wanted a swim team for the school and that's what The swim team is brand new to PGHS, and not very well known, but that didn't matter to the swimmers. They wanted to swim and that is what they did every night after school, practice, practice, practice. It payed off as the team went to region with confidence and courage and the inexperienced squad walked away with third place. The coach, Lynne Judd Yocom, said, "Some of our swimmers will be back next year and iwth a little more work and experience, I think-we'll think-we'll do all right." The team practices at the American Fork pool and has been assisted by American Fork's swim coach. |
