Several local teams will play in the State 'B tournament that begins Friday night. State fast pitch tourney to begin Other darkhorse entries who could go all the way, will be D.J. Club, Bayles Explorations from Blanding and any one of eight other teams will show strong. Starting times will be 6 p.m. on Friday evening, with eight games scheduled for Friday evening and twenty games for Saturday with starting time 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The tournament will continue into the next week with games scheduled for Monday and Tuesday evening, with the championship game Tuesday evening. The public is invited to see some outstanding fast-pitc- h softball. There will be a small admission charged at the gate. Refreshments will be available throughout the tournament. I 'The 1984 Class B Men's Fastpitch State Tournament will be hosted in " Pleasant Grove beginning this Friday. There are seven teams from the Pleasant Grove League which will challenge 13 other teams from throughout the state for the title and right to represent the State of Utah in the Rocky Mountain Regionals which will be held in Riverton, Wyoming August 17-1- Interstate Transmission,- who won the league, will be one of the favorites along with Peterson's 'B' and the defending state1 champion Nationals will be the leading contenders from Pleasant Grove. However, any one of the other teams could be a darkhorse entry. The leading teams from throughout the state will be State Brass-Transpo- Tire and Rebels from Salt Lake City, Coco Cola from Ogden, Hill Air Force Base from Layton, which will be serious contenders.
