Show Ida Jewel Lee Berry Preston J. Barratt I Bertrand Beck -"J Preston James Barratt died Dec. 25, 1933 in American Fork. He was born Dec. 14, 1914 in American Fork, the son of Thomas A. and Ann Preston Barratt. He married Margaret Berquist Sept. 17, 1937 in Salt Lake Ci'y. He was in the lumber, construction con-struction and real eslale business. He graduated from the University of Utah. He was active in civic affairs. He was a veteran of World War K. He is survived by his wile, American Fork; two sons and two daughters, Jerry P., Perry (Diane) Bruno, Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two brothers, Harry E., American Fork, Glen C, Pleasant Grove. He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred D. Barratt. There will be graveside services only at the American Fork Cemetery Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. (At the request of the deceased there is to be no visitation). Burial will be in the American Fork City Cemetery under the direction of Anderson and Sons Mortuary. j - I V J f; 3 - - -1 , ' y - j Ida Jewel Lee Berry, 63, died Dec. 24, 1983 in the American Fork Hospital. She was born March 31, 1920 in Covington Co., Miss., to Joseph Claude and Mary Viola McDonald Lee. She married Hubert Shelby Berry Oct. 3, 1941 in Hattiesburg, Miss. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a member of the American Fork 16th LDS Ward. She served in leadership positions in both stake and ward Relief Society. She served two stake missions in Miss, and a mission in Missouri with her husband in 1978 and 1979. She was employed for several years at the Utah State Training School. She is survived by her husband, three sons and three daughters, Roger E. Berry, Glen D. Berry, Dale E. Berry, all Salt Lake Cityl; Mrs. Ann Meyers, Hobbs, N.M.; Mrs. Darwin (Charlotte) Poulsen, Highland; Mrs. Dan E. ' " Our dear husband and 1 beloved Dad and Grandpa, Bertrand Beck, died suddenly at home Sunday, Dec. 25, 1983 of heart failure. Though his physical heart wore out at the age of 74, he will continue con-tinue to live through the special memories he left with his family. Bert was born Oct. 5, 1909 in Lehi, the son of Alma and Sarah Fox Beck, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Verland Fowler, Aug. 24, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a longtime long-time employee of Tooele Army Depot prior to his retirement in 1969. He was an active member of the LDS Church, having served a mission in the Northwestern States in 1930-32, being a coun- B. and Michael A., both of Lehi; Merrill F., Sunset Beach, Hawaii; daughter, Mrs. Lee (Barbara J.) He was preceded in death by a brother Art. Viewing will be Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the Wing Mortuary, Lehi, from 6 to 9 p.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 Thursday, Dec. 29. Funeral services will be held Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. in the Lehi Stake Center. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. PRKSTON J. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the American Fork West Stake Center. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Michael S. Pratt of the American Fork Sixteenth Six-teenth Ward. Casket-bearers Casket-bearers were Brent Poulsen, Chad Berry, BERTRAM) BECK seling in the bishopric, a high council member, and serving in other capacities. At the time ot-his death, he was a high priest and a Provo Temple worker, a calling he deeply treasured. He is survived by his wife, Lehi; sons, Jerry Alice H. Rassmussen Alice Henrichsen Rassmussen, 89, of Pleasant Grove, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 1983, at the American Fork Hospital. She was born Nov. 29, 1894, to Mary Elizabeth Hadfield and Alfred George Henrichsen Henrich-sen in Provo. On Jan. 28, 1914, she married Clarence Arthur Rasmussen in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He died Nov. 19, 1983. She attended the Timpanogos School in Provo. She was devoted to music, singing in choirs and choruses throughout her life. In her youth, she sang with the Provo LDS Tabernacle Choir, which performed for U.S. President Taft when he spoke at the Provo tabernacle. Mrs. Rasmussen was active in the LDS Church and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Survivors include three sons and four daughters: Clarence Wesley, Lehi; Eldon Earl, Salt Lake City; Thoral Leon, West Valley City; Mrs. Malcolm (Ida Mae) Christiansen and Mrs. Blaine (Mary) Nielsen of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Melvin (Barbara) Jex, Payson; and Mrs. Bruce (Alene) Fugal, American Fork. Also, 51 grandchildren, grandchild-ren, 141 greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters: Arnold Henrichsen, Hen-richsen, Pleasant Grove; Earnest Henrichsen, West Covina, Calif.; Mrs. B. M. (Ruth) Jolley, Orem; Mrs. Don (Vera) Hales, Pleasant Grove; and Mrs. Cliff (Eva) Nelson, Lake View. A daughter, Donna, and a son, Max Alfred, preceded her in death. Services were Dec 27, in the Pleasant Grove Sixth LDS Ward Chapel. The family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Pleasant Grove Public Library. |
