Show Review - Wednesday, December 28, 1983 - Page 8 Clyde Willard to coordinate services for Provo Seventh-da- y Adventists Community Services for the Provo Seventh-da- y Adventist Church will be coordinated by Clyde Willard, Pleasant Grove, and in-cludes activities such as disaster relief, food and clothing distribution to those in need and other similar activities. Willard said that one of his main priorities is to organize a disaster relief van that could assist those involved in floods, fires, accidents etc. as either victims or emergency crews. Equipment to be included in the van would be first aid gear, food staples, blankets, cooking utensils and stove and other emergency goods. Willard is currently organizing the church Christmas food basket project that will assist needy families throughout Utah Valley. Children from the church have gathered canned goods from local neighbors and funds from the current Harvest Ingathering solicitation will be used to meet needs locally. Funds gathered from Harvest Ingathering approached the $4,000 mark through both business and door-to-do- solicitation in Utah Valley. Volunteers made the calls and 100 percent of the funds collecte dwill help finance community service projects - no funds are used for administrative costs. Persons knowing of needy families or those who would like to contribute food or money to the fund should contact the church, Willard or Linda Walton at 375-106- 7 after 5 p.m. V f ' iA , ' V f ' I ' - I v-- .
