Show IVY POTTER OF AMERICAN FORK receives a Sosten home emergency alert system from a representative represen-tative of Mobile Telphone Inc. AF woman receives emergency alert system An American Fork woman who suffers from several ailments has been given a home emergency alert system made by Mobile Telephone Tele-phone Inc. The unit, called Sosten, Sost-en, was given to Mrs. Ivy Potter a part of a program where the system sys-tem is given to the patient who qualify at no cost. Mrs. Potter received her unit on Sept. 24. Mrs. Potter suffers from extreme conditions condit-ions of diabetes and respiratory and cardiac ailments. The Sosten alert system is designed to call a series of pre-programmed telephone numbers and give an alert message if the person using the system sys-tem activates the Sosten, or if that person fails to respond to the telephone or to the unit's check-in function. Mobile Telephone, who markets the system, has begun a program whereby a patient can receive a Sosten unit at no cost if his or her personal physician documents the patient's medical need and inability to pay. The system is designed design-ed specifically for persons per-sons who live alone and have no way of getting help in case of an emergency which incapacitates them. Individuals who are interested in participating participat-ing in the program can contact his or her personal physician to determine eligibility for Mobile Telephone's new program. |
