The fire destroyed the offices of the company as well as machinery, snowmobiles, compressors, panelling panell-ing and plywood. Chief Newman said the steel building was supported with a wooden frame which burned, allowing allow-ing the steel roof to collapse to the floor of the structure. He said that damage would exceed $100,000 but an exact estimate of damage was not yet completed. Fifteen men and three trucks fought the blaze in intermittent rain. There were no injuries. Cause of the fire is under investigation by the county fire marshall, according to Chief Newman. |
